turn on the lights, we’re gonna have a parade! The Parade is on and the weather looks good for the 8th. The average Hi/Lo temperatures for the 8 th are 64°/ 42° with records of 81°/ 29°, let’s hope we don’t get close to the record. Next weeks rain chances are trending at the 10% levels which are pretty normal. On Saturday, December 8, 2007, we will meet in the staging area in front of Cranes Mill Marina at around 5:30-5:45 and begin the traditional circling maneuver. David Herrington has graciously agreed to lead the pack and will signal the call to “turn on the lights” at 6:00 PM. With a near full lake, our course should take us along the south shore so that the residents and visitors can witness the spectacular array of lights. The Coast Guard Auxiliary will assist us with answering distress calls and the Corps of Engineers has agreed to keep Overlook Park and the Dam walking trail open until we pass. The decorating seminar will be held on Saturday, December 1st at 10:00 AM. The sign-up poster and additional “notices” are now located in the club house. You may fax your entry forms to me at 210-734-9971 or e-mail me at joepyle@gvtc.com. For more information, please see the Member Handbook or contact David Herrington; Commodore: 512-396-3163; Carol Teat, Club Administrator: 210-344-1081 or me at 830-935-4807. Thanks very much, |
