24th Parade of Lights

Joe Pyle
Special Events Chairman

The Annual Parade of Lights Boat Parade, hosted by HCYC, is scheduled to begin on Saturday, December 8, 2007, at 6:00 PM. That is when the assembled fleet will turn on all of its lights after the signal flare is fired to denote the “light-up time.

The parade will begin, as noted above, in front of Cranes Mill Park near Cranes Mill Marina and travel to the Dam. The return path to the HCYC facilities will pass by LCYC, Randolph Marina, Hobie Point (Jacob’s Creek Park) and Canyon Park.

As in past years, participants and viewers will witness a spectacular array of decorated vessels. You will have the opportunity to cast a vote for your favorite themes and decorations.

The most popular public viewing locations and their projected viewing times are:

  • Comal Park at 7:00 PM;
  • Overlook Park (Dam) at 8:00 PM;
  • Jacobs Creek Park at 8:45 PM;
  • Finishing at Canyon Lake Marina at 9:45 PM.

The decorating seminar will be held on Saturday, December 1st at 10:00 AM.
