Fiesta is more than a regatta, it is an event. And this year is no different. Our Fiesta party will feature some really good fiesta food. We’ll also have a band at this party. I want to let you know that my goal in ‘07 is to bring a variety of bands and music to our parties. For the Fiesta party on Saturday night (April 21 st) we’ll have a band that has never performed for HCYC before. The band features a singer named Evangelina. Evangelina has played many venues in the Canyon Lake area and has a wide range of music in her repertoire. According to her promotional material, she has toured in eight states and has shared marquees with the likes of Jefferson Starship, BJ Thomas, War and Crystal Gayle. It goes on to say “the Evangelina Style” is impossible to describe in a word, but you can put your finger on it if you recognize her influences…Latin, Big Band, Jazz, Rock & Country. I hope you will enjoy Evangelina and will come to the Fiesta Party ready to dance and party till the cows come home.My thanks to Karen Bazar, Velma Smith, Dave Herrington and the others who pitched in for the St. Patrick’s day party.
